This is one of the best lotions that I have ever used in my whole life. I have used this product religiously for a while now, and my skin has never been softer. I put it on after taking a shower all over my body and then off and on throughout the day. The smell is wonderful and feminine and makes me really happy. I find that this product works better than many higher priced lotions, which is why I will continue to use this for a LONG time!

I love this body lotion! I have the large size with the pump and use it after showering and randomly on my hands. It smells great, absorbs quickly and moisturizes really well. Also, it's wonderfully inexpensive and works as well as much more expensive brands.
    What's not to love?!?

This is an amzing product, I love the way it moisturizes and keeps my skin supple!
I am sad to say that I can no longer buy it as it was my favourite...Ive tried looking but nothing comes close to being as good as this one.
The only minus is that it doenst keep my skin soft for a long time, barely a few hours. But it doesnt matter, I'd just reapply.

It DOES have a bit of a strawberry-banana aroma to it! Lol. I used this back in college (2000s) as my summer lotion. I like the "pastry bag" hole it comes out of; I guess it makes the application more fun. I like how light and fast-absorbing this is. St. Ives does a good job in all their products, I think.
I would need something heavier for winter time, but this is great for your legs in the summer!

I ADORE this lotion and have used it for yeras! It's incredible light and smells wonderful. The only reason why I took away a lippie is because it doesn't give you enough moisture to use during fall and winter, so I mainly only use this in the summer.

PROS: Very inexpensive. Wonderful, light, but barely sweet scent. I LOVE the texture because it's a light but hydrating lotion.
CONS: Some may not find it moisturizing enough if they're looking for heavy moisturizing.
[[[ If you don't already, you may want to try leaving skin moist/wet after shower and applying this right away. It really seals in the moisture, and you need a lot less product too. ]]]

I cannot express how much I love this lotion! In fact, I think I might stock up, because I can foresee this being discontinued soon... I mean, it's been on the shelves for close to ten years, which is an eternity for a drugstore beauty product.
It's a light, almost fluffy vaguely pink lotion with a fun pastry-bag style hole in the cap. It's not runny at all, and glides effortlessly across your skin. Glide is an important factor in a moisturizer for me; if I have to spend all day trying to work it across my legs, our affair will be short-lived. Whipped Silk has a light, inoffensive perfumey scent to it that I really enjoy. It doesn't compete with other fragrances, but makes my skin feel and smell fresh.
I keep my bottle in the shower and apply it to wet skin after wrapping up my hair and patting some of the excess water off myself. Takes about 30 seconds, and so worth it!
Use this lotion for a week (or preferably an entire bottle) before passing judgment. My skin gets softer every day, it seems.

Got it in a sample. It smells like strawberry banana yogurt. A good spring/summer moisturizer, not really for fall/winter. Takes a little while longer to absorb than expected. Kinda stings if you put it on just shaved legs or a wee bit cracked skin.

Great light moisturizer with a heavenly scent. Absorbs real quick and gives skin a lovely sheen. Isn't sticky at all.
I prefer the pump bottle cuz it's more sanitary and doesn't allow air to rush into the bottle. My old bottle sucked in so much air it eventually gave it a very sour smell.
Very cheap and you get a generous amount.
    Will repurchase.
UPDATE: I am still loving this! It just gives such a beautiful glow to my skin! My husband always comments about it :)

I thought I'd try out this lotion because of the great reviews it's gotten on MU. I will totally agree that it is light, non-greasy and fast absorbing. That being said, it does NOTHING for my dry skin. After about an hour my skin felt dry again, and by the end of the day my skin was not only dry, but itchy as well. Maybe I just have super dry skin, but this lotion is not for me. I will probably go back to St. Ives Collagen & Elastin lotion which I was using before and is pretty decent. continued >>

I have been wanting to try this for awhile, so I went out and bought some. It is nice lotion, just as the package says fast absorbing and non greasy, which I really like. The smell is nice, not overpowering at all, another plus. I will have to use in the warmer months, definitely not moisturizing enough for the winter, but that's okay. I would definitely buy this again and likely will! Great drugstore lotion...

Exactly the same opinion as previous review. Light, non-greasy, and fast absorbing. I use this during the summer months too. Not sure if it suits those with very dry skin or during the winter.

This is my favorite moisterizer! I have moderately dry skin year round and this works wonderfully for me because it is NEVER greasy or heavy. I've tried alot of lotions and never before I have found something so skin softening. The smell is fantastic too.. not sun-screen smelling, soapy, or perfumey. I would describe the scent as "salon shampoo" smell. Admittedly, in the winter I sometimes have to pile on the Nivea for the really dry days- so if you're looking for something super moisturizing this isn't it.

HG! I love this stuff. I am so, so picky about lotion. This smells nice and fresh. It really does keep me soft, and I can actually tell when I don't use it for about a week - I am a lot drier. MOST IMPORTANTLY - it isn't greasy and it absorbs FAST! That is the most valuable thing for me. Love this stuff.

I bought the trial version of this at Target because I've heard good things about it and after using for a month, I have to say that it is one of my most favorite lotions out there. I really do love it! The only thing that I would say I don't like is the smell... It is not a bad smell, but not something that I would usually like - I usually like a more floral or fruity scent. However, other than the smell, I would have to say that I love this lotion because it's so light yet so moisturizing at the same time. This product works amazing on my VERY VERY dry skin. I love that it's moisturizing enough but not greasy and it sinks right in. It lasts all day and makes my skin so soft and moisturized all day. When I use other lotions, I would have to reapply by the middle of the day or else I would get scaly on my legs and start to peel because I'm so dry - but not with this lotion! It does wonders!! I love the texture of the lotion also. It really feels so soft and whipped!! I'm going out tomorrow to buy a big bottle of this - I'm in love with it!

I love this lotion! I've been using it for the past 2 years. It's light, non-greasy and sinks into the skin quickly. I have some problems with eczema during dry months (winter) and even the prescription cream didn't do as much good as this lotion! I use it everyday after I shower for maximum benefits and it keeps my skin smooth and eczema free. I honestly have nothing bad to say about it. My only gripe is the packaging. The pump is not very convenient for travel, but that doesn't take away from the product itself. I don't even use medicated cream anymore because this stuff is enough. Sadly, I couldn't seem to find it here (I moved for graduate school) and so I bought the mineral one...let's hope this one works just as well.

I purchased the travel size tube of the St. Ives Whipped Silk moisturizer from the Target travel size bins for $1. (BTW for those who care...I hate the travel tube packaging, it's so flimsy, and once you get down to almost no product left in the bottle, it's so hard to work it out! So annoying.) I was in Target originally looking for an organic, natural moisturizer to use until I got my order in from Vitacost.com, and couldn't find anything that didn't have alcohol, chemicals, parabens, or preservatives in it. YES, I KNOW that this product contains all of those. Gah...I just couldn't help myself. I heard several great things about this lotion, so I threw all caution to the wind and bought a tiny tube. *sigh* I WISH this stuff wasn't loaded with crap...because the crap works so freakin' good!! I applied this after my shower tonight. It comes out of the tube like a heavier whipped cream, and it spreads and sinks in so well to my skin. I almost can't stop touching my arm because my skin is so soft!! And the smell, I LOVE THE SMELL. Some people on here says it smells funny...I don't know what it smells like, it's probably a chemical but it smells so good on my skin!! All I can think of is that it is a light, fresh, clean scent. Not so much like clean linen smelling, just...clean. So disappointed that it has a bunch of bad stuff in it...I would buy this stuff by the gallon if it didn't have so many unhealthy ingredients. So ladies, if you don't care about the ingredients that much, have at it...this stuff is for you. But...if you're like me and you don't want to slather on unpronouncable ingredients into your skin, then don't bother. Such a shame. :(
